As excited as we are each week for worship, what we're really excited about is what happens after worship! We think a healthy church, and its people, are "The Church" all the time...not just on Sunday mornings.
Worship is how we grow with God and each other. Weekly worship helps us realize God's dream for our lives. It calls us to learn, dig deep, and experience the love of Jesus.
Life is not a do-it-yourself-project. Jesus taught that you can't connect with God without connecting with people and building relationships. So we group up in small groups called Go Groups to build community with others.
Two thousand years ago the early church and first followers of Jesus did so much good that they changed the world. We want to keep doing the same and we believe we can. Living on mission everyday literally changes things.
At Valley we don't believe, or act like, Church is a spectator sport. Our faith isn't meant to be lived out on the sidelines. Here's some basic ways we focus on connecting with one another and with Jesus.
You. In person. With other people. Sure, you can watch a message on line and pray at home after sleeping in, but it's not the same as experiencing worship with others. Invite a friend and make weekly worship a priority in your life.
Grouping up with others is a great way to grow in your faith and learn more about who God wants you to become. Learn more about Go Groups here.
Serving and Giving Back.
Something exciting and life-giving happens in our lives, and the lives of others, when we are generous with our time, talent, and treasure. Serving and generosity literally changes lives! You can serve on a ministry team, give to support great causes, or be in mission locally, regionally, or even globally.
Kids and Students.
We don't think kids are the future generation. We think they're the NOW generation. We offer great ministry and experiences for kids and students to help them learn about living for God, for People, for a Change too!
